Two of the North Island's most powerful stables are already eyeing up a healthy payday with their two-year-old trotters at Alexandra Park on May 8,2026.

After the demolition of its grandstand earlier this year it will be a new look Richmond Park that hosts the Nelson Trotting Club's two-day meeting in January.

These horses have trialled pleasingly in recent weeks and this week (18/12/25) they head back to the racetrack.

Just as many are winding down for the summer,  Stacey and David White are accelerating into an exciting new phase of their training careers.

The Golden Gait series may be about giving some of the lesser-known Alexandra Park regulars their chance to shine but Friday night’s meeting looks set to be lit up by some of the north’s most promising horses.
