Three wins each for Negus and Ferguson

Tuesday trebles were the order of the day at Addington and Manawatu.

Trainer Bruce Negus trained three winners on the night while up north Peter Ferguson claimed a trio of driving wins, with King of Diamonds, Ha'penny and Lincoln la Moose.

King of Diamonds was in the top three all the way before popping out at the home turn and going to win by two lengths in Race 1, the Terry Briskie Memorial Handicap Trot, while Ha'penny was game in Race 5, the Happy Birthday Jean McNee Mobile Pace in running down the pace-making Onyx Shard.

Ferguson's easiest win was in the last. Lincoln La Moose was urged around to lead Race 6, the Happy Birthday Debbie Coppins Mobile pace and gave no-one else a chance, clearing out to win by more than four lengths.

At Addington Bruce and wife Colleen combined to get the night on a winning note in the IRT. Your Horse. Our Passion Amateur Drivers Mobile Pace.

Foveaux Gambler was wide early and then sat parked but despite the trip was still too strong, wining by a length.

Then the in-form Sheree Tomlinson grabbed a double with The Highlander in the Livamol Mobile Pace and Major Linc in the Studholme Bloodstock Thanks 2025 Buyers Mobile Pace.

"The girls are on form," Negus told Harness Unhinged's Nigel Armstrong post race, "Sheree is driving out of her skin."

"I like Tuesday racing," he added dryly.

Addington will be back in action on Friday along with Alexandra Park as part of Friday Night Lights with Winton tomorrow and the $35,000 Rangiora Classic highlighting Sunday's meeting on the grass at Rangiora.
