Racing industry "getting closer to normality”

A draft schedule of just where and when workouts and trials will be held is expected soon from Harness Racing New Zealand.

Racing and Marketing Manager Darrin Williams says a lot of work is going on behind the scenes as the industry counts down to the return to racing on May 29 at Addington. This includes a draft schedule of trials and workouts – and it’s likely some will be held outside of the four venues that will be used when racing does return (Alexandra Park, Cambridge, Addington and Ascot Park).

Williams says this week should also see more detail on when the Sires Stakes races will be held.

In this video, he talks about racing’s resumption and what owners, trainers, drivers and everyone else in the industry can expect.
