Pacing competition closes in on $3000

A $225 collect on Dashing Major has highlighted this week's Pacing for Purpose competition.

Every week the Breakfast, Mornings, Afternoons and Drive teams on sports radio station SENZ invest on the harness race of their choosing to raise money for their given charities. So far $2894 has been raised.

Last week the Drive team of Stephen Donald, Kirstie Stanway and Rikki Swannell spent $50 on Dashing Major at Blenheim last Friday. It netted them a $225 return, taking them to $1270 for their charity, the Whanake House Charitable Trust that helps young adult with disabilities. They are a clear leader over second placed Ian Smith (Mornings) at $760.

The competition continues through to the end of January.

Don't forget to tune in to SENZ to hear their next selections, and listen to the Kiwi harness racing show “Trots Talk” hosted by Michael Guerin and Greg O’Connor every Sunday from 12 – 1 pm.
