On A Streak arrives at Wai Eyre Farm

Haras Des Trotteurs principal, Pat Driscoll, in partnership with Wai Eyre Farms principal Darryl Brown, is delighted to announce that US Breeders Crown champion On A Streak will stand at Wai Eyre Farm in Canterbury, New Zealand, this season.

On A Streak is a son of the legendary Cantab Hall, 2020 US Breeders Crown 2yo champion and 2020 O’Brien 2yo Trotting Colt Of The Year (tr 2, 1:52.8 – $919,240).

He arrived safely in New Zealand Thursday morning and has quickly settled in.

Pat Driscoll says as well as being a standout 2yo in terms of stakes earned and time, On A Streak boasts a pedigree that is now emerging as a stand-out in Australia and New Zealand through the deeds of former Haras des Trotteurs shuttle stallion Volstead.

On A Streak (1:52.4, US $740,947) earned more as a 2yo than Walner (1:51.3 US $404,037) and went faster than Muscle Hill (1:53.3 US $827.302) as a juvenile.

His oldest crop are yearlings with great reviews on type and temperament.

Darryl Brown is excited with the new addition to their stud.

“We are pleased to welcome On A Streak to Wai Eyre Farm.

“We believe being able to offer fresh semen from a trotting stallion of his calibre, alongside our other stallions, will give breeders a great selection for their mares.

“We are excited about this opportunity to partner with Haras Des Trotteurs, and work towards their vision for the industry in a much closer capacity."

Brown said Wai Eyre Farm and their vet Andrew Bailey from Rangiora Vet Centre had worked with Haras des Trotteurs and their stallions for many years.

On A Streak will stand at Wai Eyre farm for $3500 plus GST.

The first 25 mares with a positive preg test, will get a reduced service fee of $2500 plus GST.
