HRNZ confirms new Chief Executive

Harness Racing New Zealand is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary Woodham as its new Chief Executive.

HRNZ Chair Ken Spicer said “we are pleased to have secured Gary, given his industry knowledge and corporate background”.

“His leadership skills and industry stakeholder relationships will be invaluable going forward”.

Woodham is an ardent harness racing fan and long-time owner and breeder who comes to HRNZ after a five year stint with the TAB as General Manager – Customer.

“The Board would also like to express its gratitude to Interim Chief Executive Phil Holden who stepped into the role post COVID,” says Spicer.
