Crowds allowed back to races

Latest Covid update : March 23

We welcome back crowds to our race meetings from Saturday 26 March, after the Government announced its latest Covid update today. That means vaccinated racegoers, public as well as owners etc will be allowed on-course from Saturday March 26th, including the Waimate Cup meeting at Oamaru on Sunday.

If outdoors there in no longer a requirement to wear a mask or to limit groups of people.

If however, people are in the stands, covered stable areas e.g. Addington or Auckland, or function rooms they must still wear a mask and these areas are limited to 200 people per area and cannot mix with other areas.

It is still important to remember that the indoors and outdoors areas do not mix as the outdoors area is still its own bubble.

QR scanning is no longer required at any venue.

Please double check with the club for specific details around their meeting.
