Two days to go at National Online Weanling Sale

There are just two days left at the NZB National Online Weanling sale on standardbred.gavelhouse.com

Bidding on 44 weanlings started last Wednesday (May 13) and will close from 6pm this Wednesday (May 20).

Leading the bidding at this stage is Lot 35, an Art Major - Ideal Reality colt.

Being offered by the Westport-based Ultimate Breeding, the colt's dam Ideal Reality is a half-sister to former Horse of the Year and 2019 Inter Dominion Champion Ultimate Sniper.

At last look the colt had attracted a bid of $34,000.

Another progeny of Art Major, Lot 16, has also attracted some interest.

The Trigirl Brigade filly is a full sister to Iron Brigade (pictured above) and Bruntwood Brigade. She is currently at $13,000.

Bruntwood Brigade has won eight from 11 this year while Iron Brigade was a winner as recently as last Friday in the Betavet Uncut Gems Gelding and Entires Classic. 

Both "Brigades" will be in Friday's $100,000 Hydroflow NZ Country Championship Final, also at Addington. 

Two Sweet Lous are also proving tempting to buyers.

Lot 37 (La Senorita) is currently at $18,000 while Lot 30 (Deagg's Delight) is at $10,500.
