Trotters take centre stage in Friday's Metro Finals at Alexandra Park
The second of the Northern Metro Series Finals will be held at Alexandra Park on Friday night.
The $35,000 Northern Metro Series Final Handicap Trot follows on from the Lather Up World Champion Northern Metro Final for the pacers last Friday, won by Always B Elite.
Friday's final comes after a series of four heats at the Park, won by Pantani, Brienne, Mazeppa and Barsukova.
All four will line up again in the Final, and if one of them prevails the win will be penalty-free.

Friday will also see the start of the Pebble Beach at Alabar Silk Road Series for the pacers.
Established to provide more racing opportunities for Fillies and Mares, the series will have five heats culminating in a $30,000 Final set down for Alexandra Park on October 18. To be eligible for the series fillies and mares must be rated R35-54, or have up to two lifetime wins.
The heats will be held September 13,20 and 27 and October 4 and 11.
The first two runners from each heat will qualify for the final. Fillies and mares can only win up to two heats.
