Trevor Robertson to be remembered at Ashburton today

Trevor Robertson's decades of service to the racing industry will be honoured at Ashburton today, following his death yesterday after a short illness.

For over 50 years he was the secretary-manager of the Ashburton Trotting Club, overseeing clubs throughout the Canterbury region including Methven, Geraldine, Hororata and Ashburton.

At today's meeting at Ashburton drivers will wear black armbands in his honour in Race 5, the Gary McCormick Transport Ltd Pace at 1.34pm.
