Izia was very professional, stepping straight to the front and if she were to do that again she’d be hard to catch.

Cosmic Angel is a very genuine type who must be included in your Trifecta and First4 bets.

Bonnie Bagrie and Soaring are also ones to look at for your combo bets.

Oamaru HRC Punting Plan – Race 2

The scratching of For Arts Sake really makes this race for Lottie’s Luck.

She has drawn perfectly in barrier 2 following an excellent debut last week, running a tough second.

Rakajed is a very consistent maiden and looks a definite include in Trifecta and First4 bets.

James Cagney rates next best and Xlendi is another that should be considered in your wider combinations.

Xlendi looks a very progressive horse and may offer some place value despite his tricky draw.

Oamaru HRC Punting Plan – Race 3

A big first-up effort has Endless Dreams primed to be the horse to beat in race 3.

The mare worked hard and fought on resolutely in her last outing at Ashburton.

In an otherwise even field, she clearly rates the horse to beat.

Songbird is an obvious second selection with her good form.

Those taking Trifectas may need to go wide for third with Four Starzzz Shiraz, Dalness Arizona and Phone Tap each worthy options.

Though his form has been ordinary Alexy may offer some value for place and First4 punters.

Oamaru HRC Punting Plan – Race 4

Local trotter Our Pinocchio has raced smart types recently and he won his last start nicely at Wyndham.

As he stays in the same grade, there looks no reason why he can’t win again.

Petronelli Gee ran on nicely in a stronger race in his last start Addington and he also looks a huge winning threat.

The top two stand out from the rest and they look a solid quinella pairing.

Cool Phelan impressed with a nice recovery from a mid-race break when third behind Our Pinocchio, which makes her a player.

Tom Brady won a trial after making a mistake first up and is one to put in your combo bets.

Oamaru HRC Punting Plan – Race 5

Cyrus looks as big a winning chance as any horses the powerful All Stars team start today.

He’s trialled well, brings better form than his rivals and should win.

The question for punters will be who runs second, third and fourth behind him.

Chris Kyle brings great form and has a reasonable draw to work with, so he looks like a strong quinella option.

Jovial Jay has tactical speed which could put him in a great spot, he also looks a big chance of running in the top three.

From his great draw, Taxman could run into a Trifecta or First4 spot.

Oamaru HRC Punting Plan – Race 6

Another race and another big chance of an All Stars win.

Queen Of Diamonds has trialled really nicely and looks poised for a big return.

Obsession has been mixing it with quality horses recently and looks well up to this class despite copping a tough draw.

Dannemora looks a place player from her nice draw, she ran well first up and strips fitter.

Straight Flush is another filly with ability and a nice draw to work with.

Oamaru HRC Punting Plan – Race 7

Final Collect looks a class act but he has come up with a tricky draw over 2000m.

His recent trials suggest he is ready for a big return to racing, however he is going to need luck in running at some point to be able to show his best.

Watermelon Sugar impressed in his debut third and still being a maiden he draws the best of the race’s leading hopes meaning he is arguably the safest play.

Spirit Of Arion cops a tough draw but he looks to be well placed in this company.

Rakamurph bolted in in a maiden field last week and looks capable of mixing it with these smart types.

Oamaru HRC Punting Plan – Race 8

This is a capacity field of trotting mares, packed full of chances.

If you like one, play it eachway at a nice price.

Peregrine is a classy mare and she looks well placed from 10m, she is sure to be running on strongly.

Sioux Princess measures up well in this company and looks another strong eachway chance.

Resolve has a headstart on many of her rivals starting from the front line, so she rates a threat.

A strong case can be made for Kahress, though she is first up since July which is a slight concern.

Oamaru HRC Punting Plan – Race 9

Punters looking for the safest bet should look no further than Alta Wiseguy.

He’s a great beginner and importantly has the class to beat this field.

Akuta is a brilliant horse and should be very hard to beat.

Being fresh up and starting in his first standing start are both slight concerns, but his class is undoubted.

Krug has trialled very well ahead of his return and looks primed to run a big race.

There are still slight question marks over his standing start manners to consider.

Pembrook Playboy definitely shouldn’t be underrated.

He is well proven at this level and can offer punters nice eachway value.

Oamaru HRC Punting Plan – Race 10

A classy bunch of trotters round out the day, with four strong eachway chances among them.

Jimmy Carter has chased smart types recently and seems in a great place at the moment, he looks hard to beat despite his back mark.

Harold Smith is a very promising type, coming in fresh against hardened horses won’t be easy but his class will take him a long way.

Domination’s Call was seen flashing home in his last start and he gets a headstart on his key rivals starting from the front line.

Wai Key Wee’s form says it all, he is up in grade here but expect him to run well.
