Thornley holds five point lead in AYDC
Sam Thornley continues to fly the Kiwi flag at the Australasian Young Drivers Championships in New South Wales.
There was just one heat last night, the fifth overall, at Penrith with Thornley finishing fourth with Memphis Fury.
That gives him 50 points overall. He had an eight point lead leading into last night's heat. That is now down to five, with Tasmania's Jacob Duggan second on 45 after winning the heat with Charlies Ace.
Fellow Kiwi Crystal Hackett is fifth on 29 points.
Tonight looms as a make or break point in the championships with three heats at Newcastle at 8.48pm, 9.48pm and 11.18pm.
