The NZ Breeders Stakes - A race for the greats

The 54th running of the time-honoured NZ Standardbred Breeders Stakes will be held at Addington Raceway this Friday, with a stellar field of 14 mares set to square off in the $100,000 Group 1.

NZ Standardbred Breeders Association Executive Manager Brad Reid looks at the history of the race and some of the great mares to have it won along the way.
