Team Teal total continues to climb

After another successful week, the Team Teal campaign is heading towards $20,000.

Female drivers had 20 wins during the week's eight meetings, including four each at Addington on Wednesday and at Rangiora yesterday.

That takes the total since the campaign started on February 1 to 65, with Crystal Hackett leading the way with 10 wins, ahead of Kirstin Green, Sarah O'Reilly and Sam Ottley, all with five.

Hackett, Green and Ottley are all Team Teal ambassadors this year along with Olivia Thornley (3 wins) and Brooke Wilkins (2 wins).

Money is raised every time a female driver wins a race in this country between February 1 and March 16, thanks to contributions from HRNZ ($100), and participating clubs ($100) while Ambassadors add to the tally through their own individual sponsors.

With one month gone and two weeks left in the campaign, the total currently stands at $19,440.

All money raised during the campaign goes towards ovarian cancer research.
