Attention all breeders; the Sires Stakes Stallion nominations are closing soon – September 1st – so be sure to check the eligibility of your stallion on our website. This list will be updated as nominations come in.

The NZ Sires’ Stakes poster this year will be combined with a new NZ Standardbred Breeders Association calendar. If you do not receive a copy please let me know & I can send you one out. 

The poster will also be on our website & can be printed from there.

The PGG Wrightson Yearling Sales Series 28 for 3YO’s is locked in with all dates now finalised.

Please note the Final Payment for this Series closes on October 1st with remittances emailed or mailed on August 30th.

PGG Wrightson Standardbred are also proud to be involved with the Sales Series Aged Classic at the iconic South Bay Racecourse at Kaikoura & next year’s Uncut Gems which will be hosted by the Auckland Trotting Club.

Spring is in the air & so too the McMillan Equine Feeds Sires Stakes Series 36 for 3YO Colts & Geldings. Heat 1 is set to go at Waikato BOP on Thursday October 3rd as the countdown to Cup Day starts to really heat up.

Alabar proudly supports the equivalent Fillies Series with the first two Heats set down for Auckland & Addington on October 25th.

The Sires’ Stakes Board are delighted to continue their association with Nevele R Stud, Garrard’s Horse & Hound & Magness Benrow who have all renewed their sponsorships for the new season.

The Nevele R Fillies Series 42 starts at Auckland on February 7th with seven Heats before the Final at Addington on May 8th.

The Garrard’s Sires Stakes 2YO Colts & Geldings Series 37 commences at Addington on March 20th & will have four Heats plus three qualifying races with the Magness Benrow Series 37 for the 2YO Fillies also having four Heats alongside two extra qualifying races. See our poster, and or website, for all race dates etc.

Haras des Trotteurs continue their support of the trotters with both the 2 & 3YO Series plus the 2nd running of the 3YO Fillies Classique alongside the Aged Trotters Classic at Addington.

The new Season also sees the Inaugural NZB Standardbred Harness Million Series for 2YO graduates from their first Yearling Sales. All eligibility for horses in this Series is now available on infoHorse.
