Seddon Shields trotters heading to $30,000 final at Addington
After starting way back at Kaikoura last November, the Seddon Districts Trevor Craddock Memorial Trotters Series will have its grand final next week.
The $30,000 Final, to be held at Addington on Friday, March 20, is the culmination of a 10-heat series for R51 and faster trotters that has been held around the top half of the South Island.
The final heat at Reefton last Sunday was won by One Over Da Line.
The final will have a maximum of 16 starters. To qualify horses must have had a minimum of four starts at Seddon Shields races during the series.
So far 14 horses have met that criteria.

Tu Tangata - 6 points

Playoffs - 0 points
Son E - 0 points
The remainder of the field will be made up of the highest point earners over the circuit, with preference given to horses who have started in a Series race.
It's the third year the series has been held and this year it is named in honour of Trevor Craddock, a West Coast legend who died last October. He was a successful trainer and a President and Life Member of the Westport Trotting Club.
Boyz Invasion won the first series in 2024, followed by Regal Sierra last year.
