Official notice - HRNZ approves three new amendments
Harness Racing New Zealand has approved three amendments regarding late scratchings, passing lane regulations and the handicapping system.
Effective immediately
: horses on the second line of a mobile can move in to fill the vacant position if a horse inside them is a late scratching
: laws have been tightened around horses using the passing lane
: there have been two minor changes pertaining to the handicapping system for all 3YOs and R35-39 4YO and older horses.

On 25th September 2023 the HRNZ Special Committee also approved the Avenger sulky (no crossbar) for use in New Zealand
