NZB Airfreight to sponsor HRNZ Awards

NZB Airfreight has been confirmed as the key sponsor for the up-coming Harness Racing New Zealand Awards.

The awards will be held following the annual conference and AGM at Addington Raceway, on Saturday, October 16.

“2021 will mark the fourth consecutive year NZB Standardbred have supported the event, recognising excellence in New Zealand’s elite harness racing community,” says NZB Director and Operations manager James Jennings.

“This year our horse freighting subsidiary, NZB Airfreight, is the proud named sponsor of the entire evening, with NZB Standardbred sponsoring the esteemed Horse of the Year title.

The company’s on-line auction platform, gavelhouse.com standardbred, will also feature as a key category sponsor throughout the evening.

The awards evening will feature 34 awards, with upwards of 250 people expected to be part of the big night.

Last year’s awards was a pared-down version because of Covid, with crowd numbers restricted to just 100.

This year’s awards will be more like they have been traditionally.

“We’re very much looking forward to celebrating the tremendous successes accomplished by kiwi horses, horsemen and women, and wish the finalists all the best heading into the event,” said Jennings.
