NZ Sires Stakes Update
Favourite through to Sires’ Stakes Final
With a one-two finish at Ashburton, True Fantasy and Remember Me have sealed places in the Dunstan Horsefeeds Fillies Sires’ Stakes Series 38 Final.
In the opening heat last Thursday, True Fantasy, a $1.30 favourite, rallied to hold out Remember Me by a neck.
In running the quinella, both have now qualified for the final at Alexandra Park on December 31, 2021.
It was True Fantasy’s third win on end for driver Natalie Rasmussen and trainers Mark Purdon and Hayden Cullen, and her sixth in nine career starts.
The Series now heads to Auckland this Friday, with further heats at Addington (November 26) and Auckland (December 3) before the Final in Auckland on New Year’s Eve.
