Contenders out for HRNZ's "other awards"

Nearly 40 awards will be decided at the annual NZB Standardbred Harness Racing New Zealand awards ceremony at Addington Raceway on Monday, February 19.

The contenders for many of the awards, including the best age group pacers and trotters, have been well documented but there are a host of others as well.

For the second year the Stablehand of the Year will be held and after getting a sizeable number of nominations the shortlist was whittled down to four.

The newcomer to training award, also in its second year, also has four finalists while there are five in the unsung heroes category.

Then there's owner of the year, breeder of the year and the pacing and trotting stallions and broodmares of the year......

It promises to be a brilliant night and tickets are still available.
