Metro series dates confirmed for Alexandra Park

After taking a break since June, the ever popular Metro Series Heats and Finals are back.

The next installment has been confirmed for Alexandra Park in a fortnight (August 28) with two $15,000 heats for both the R35-40 3YO and older Pacers and R35-45 3YO and older Trotters.

The first five home in each of the four heats will automatically qualify for the two $30,000 Finals at the Park on Friday, September 4, if nominated.

If a horse wins a Heat and the Final the Final win will be penalty free.

The Series are a key part of the Look North strategy launched in 2024.

The last Metro Finals, held at Alexandra Park on June 26,were taken out by (Trotters) Viscount Mackendon and Crystal Hackett for her parents Michelle Wallis and Bernie Hackett and (Pacers) Turn O The Tide for driver David Bucher and Steve and Amanda Telfer.

There'll be a further round of $15,000 Heats on September 25 and October 2, building into the $30,000 Final on October 9. All will be held at Alexandra Park.
