HRNZ Message to Industry Participants

HRNZ Message to Industry Participants - Alert Levels

Until the new Government traffic light system is implemented we are still operating race meetings under our Alert Level 2 and Alert Level 3 protocols.

Alert Level 2 :

Essential staff including Licence holders and officials can attend as well as Registered owners with a horse racing but this does not include extra family and friends

Owners can elect to be at the stables or in a separate owners bubble but cannot mix between both of them

Clubs may have sponsors but separated in their own bubble

Masks are to be worn with social distancing required where possible.

Alert level 3 :

Essential staff including Licence holders and officials can attend. Owners and sponsors cannot

Masks are to be worn with social distancing required where possible

Travel of horses between Auckland and Cambridge can happen but people cannot travel.

We understand that this is frustrating for everyone however we do need to work with approved government protocols to ensure we can continue to race.

In the meantime we encourage everyone to get vaccinated so that our racing can open to the public as soon as possible.
