HRNZ Awards - Change of date

The date for the 2026 Harness Racing New Zealand Awards has changed, with the event now to be held in Christchurch on Saturday, March 20, 2027.

HRNZ had previously announced Saturday, March 13 as the date for the Awards, providing earlier notice following feedback from attendees last year.

Since then, the wider Australasian racing calendar has become clearer and, to ensure the Awards are clear of potential clashes with feature Australian racing involving leading New Zealand horses and their connections, we have decided to move the event back one week.

The HRNZ Awards will now be held on Saturday, March 20.

We appreciate that some people may have already made travel or other arrangements based on the original date and apologise for any inconvenience caused by the change.

The Awards will again be held  at Addington Raceway, Christchurch, celebrating and honouring the outstanding achievements of New Zealand harness racing during 2026.

Further details will be announced in the coming months.
