Harness Racing Returns to the Naki
The Hawera Harness Racing Club's two day meeting on February 4th and 6th sees the return of Harness Racing to Taranaki and in particular the Hawera course.
The three local clubs have joined forces to run all their feature races over the two day carnival.
Friday sees the running of the $15,000 Central Tyres Stratford Cup and additional stakes also for the Faster trot, whilst Sunday sees the running of the $15,000 South Taranaki Club Hawera Cup,the $11,000 Woodlands Stud Taranaki Breeders Stakes and the $11,000 Revital Fertiliser Graduation Taranaki Cup for Maidens on Day 1.
Being the only full grass track racedays in the North Island, bumper fields are expected. There is no gate charge either days and the popular Kidz Ka'rtz will compete on both racedays.
