Happy New Year 2022!
This isn’t just a New Year it’s the start of a New Era.
From today January 1, 2022 the new Racing Calendar comes into effect.
January 1 is also the day that all standardbreds now have their birthdays. We changed from the traditional August 1 birthday earlier in 2011.
So to all the horses out there – Happy Birthday!
The new Racing Calendar is an exciting opportunity. We have re-jigged many aspects of the Calendar and we have a number of carnivals, including the upcoming Harness Million night at Alexandra Park in February, that we hope will invigorate our sport.
The 2022 Premiership for Drivers and Trainers will also start from today.
Welcome to 2022 - it’s going to be fun.
