Got The Chocolates resumes at Addington in fine style

He's back!

Off the scene for four months, one of the country's most exciting pacers Got The Chocolates produced the night's highlight at Addington on Friday night with a decisive victory fresh up.

He'd had just one trial on February 25 leading into his return but it didn't show as he downed a quality line-up.

The now four-year-old, who had so many epic performances with arch rival Marketplace last season, had to sit parked in the Group 3 The Legend That is Martin Larter Mobile Pace.

"They went hard and he was relaxed parked," said driver John Dunn post race.

"It was the ideal run first up."

When Dunn "pushed the go button" Got The Chocolates responded in impressive fashion leaving the Hayden and Amanda Cullen-trained trio of Harrison John, Hadron Collider and We Walk By Faith to fight it out for the minors.

It was Got The Chocolates' 10th career win.

"He should come on from that," said Dunn.

It was his first race since his brave second to Marketplace in last November's NZ Pacing Derby at Addington.

Got The Chocolates' win highlighted another top night for Dunn and Diamond Racing.

He drove four winners on the night - his others being Rock Lobster, debutant I'm Connected and Sacetas.

He had four wins at Westport a week ago too.

Bob Butt also trained two Addington winners in Brilliant Chase and Diamonds Are Forever as well as training and driving The Lazarus Effect to win the night's feature pace, the Founders Cup at Alexandra Park.
