Four more dual Friday night meetings in July
In collaboration with Entain, HRNZ is looking forward to bringing dual Friday night Harness Racing action to punters from July 4.
Originally set to kick off in the new 2024/2025 season, HRNZ, Entain, and Cambridge, Auckland and Addington have joined forces to bring forward the launch of a new “Friday Night Lights” concept.
“We have for some time been working with HRNZ and Harness Clubs on bringing Friday Night Lights to life. This new branded segment will see dual harness racing meetings taking place on Friday nights giving punters consistent, high quality, back to back harness racing action” said Entain’s Chief Media Officer - Chris Haigh.
“Friday Night Lights will be supported by our Trackside Media team, with increased on course and in studio tips, analysis, and interviews. We know punters will love what we have in store and couldn’t wait until the new season to kick things off”.
As a result, a total of four meetings throughout July that are currently scheduled on Thursdays will move to Friday, those four meetings are :
Cambridge Thursday July 4 to Friday July 5
Addington Thursday July 11 to Friday July 12
Cambridge Thursday July 18 to Friday July 19
Addington Thursday July 25 to Friday July 26
The new Cambridge meetings will coincide with two meetings at Addington, while Auckland and Addington will now race on July 12 and 26.
"We are very grateful that everyone's come together so willingly to start early on one of many exciting initiatives that we are working closely with the team at HRNZ on," said Cameron Rodger – Entain’s Managing Director – NZ.
“We can’t wait to get started.”
