Contingency Arrangements - Motukarara (April 22)
A bad weather forecast for Canterbury next week may force changes to the Banks Peninsula Trotting Club meeting at Motukarara on Wednesday (April 22).
Significant rain (in excess of 100mm) is expected on Monday through Wednesday (April 20-22).
A track inspection, involving club and industry representatives, will be carried out on Monday, April 20 at 8am.
It will then be decided whether the meeting goes ahead as planned or if it will be transferred to Addington.
If that happens it would be a twilight meeting, also on Wednesday, starting at around 4.30pm.
Nominations will close as planned, with an alteration however to Withdrawals, now closing Monday, to simplify the transfer of venue if necessary.
Nominations close: Friday, 17 April at 12:00pm (unchanged)
Withdrawals: 9:30am on Monday, 20 April
An update on Motukarara vs Addington will be made as soon as possible following the Monday inspection.
HRNZ appreciates the co-operation of participants and stakeholders as we work to ensure the meeting goes ahead safely.
