Big week for Addington's biggest races
Wednesday is looming as a key day as the sport countdowns down to New Zealand Cup and Show Week.
Sustaining payments for the IRT New Zealand Cup and the Renwick Farms Dominion Trot are both due on Wednesday, while nominations will also close for the New Zealand Pacing Derby and the New Zealand Pacing Oaks.
The two three-year-old pacing features are a key part of the new Harness Grand Prix 2022, which will see eight Group 1s raced on the one day at Addington on Sunday, December 4.
The fixed odds markets for the Derby and Oaks will available shortly after nominations close.
The latest rankings for both the Cup and the Dominion will also be out on Wednesday, with Smiffy's Terror expected to now make the 15-strong Cup field following his Methven Cup triumph yesterday. He was ranked 20th before yesterday's win.
