Blue September ambassadors 2022

Harness Racing New Zealand is thrilled to announce that it will be supporting the Prostate Cancer Foundation Blue September Fundraiser again this year.

In 2021 the campaign raised more than $20,000, with hopes we can increase that to around $30,000 this year.

Blue September is all about raising awareness of prostate cancer, encouraging men to get checked, and to raise funds for research and treatment.

HRNZ’s campaign will run for the whole month of September with 10 male drivers wearing blue pants throughout the month. Every win they have wearing the pants will raise funds thanks to the ongoing support of HRNZ, the Clubs, and the drivers' individual sponsors.

We are excited to have all of our drivers from last year come on board again.

The ambassadors for 2022 are:

Blair Orange
Brent Barclay
Jonny Cox
Korbyn Newman
Matthew Williamson
Mark Hurrell
Robbie Close
Todd Mitchell
Zachary Butcher
Zev Meredith

Other activities throughout the month will include a Launch Dinner at Addington Raceway on September 2nd, a nationwide online auction, various Club events and Blue September race days. Once these events are confirmed there will be more information about each one available at hrnz.co.nz and on our HRNZ Facebook page.

If anyone would like to sponsor one of the above ambassadors please contact Courtney Buchanan at HRNZ on the details below.

We are also looking for items to include in our online auction which will be starting early in September.
Please also contact Courtney regarding this or any other queries you may have about the campaign.
