Amazing Dream out of New Zealand Cup

Auckland Cup winner Amazing Dream has been withdrawn from the New Zealand Cup.

A decision on whether the multiple Group One winner was going to line up at Addington on Tuesday November 9 was always going to be made after the Victoria Cup.

After running fourth in that feature on Saturday night the mare’s American owners have decided she will not make the trip.

It robs the Cup of one of its potential star attractions and the defection has seen defending champion Self Assured tighten in the market to $2.60, with South Coast Arden in to $2.90.

After his fresh up win at Auckland on Friday night in the Spring Cup, Copy That is a $4.60 third favourite.

Also withdrawn are Burnham Boy, Mach’s Back, Stylish Memphis, Plutonium Lady and New York Minute.
