32 nominations so far for IRT NZ Trotting Cup and Renwick Farms Dominion Trot
A total of 32 horses - 16 pacers and 16 trotters - have been nominated for the IRT New Trotting Cup and the Renwick Farms Dominion Trot at Addington Raceway on Tuesday, November 12.
Included in the early nominations have been two Grant Dixon-trained Australians, champion pacer Leap To Fame and Aroda.
Leap To Fame is guaranteed a place in the field because of his win in the 2023 Inter-Dominion Final.
Dalton Shard has also qualified on the back of his win in last Friday's Maurice Holmes Vase at Addington, as has Auckland Cup winner Better Eclipse, but both have not been nominated as yet.
In the Dominion Oscar Bonavena is assured a start after his win in the Group 1 feature last year while the globe-trotting superstar Just Believe would also get a spot, if nominated, after his win in the Rowe Cup and the 2023 Inter-Dominion Final.
Nominations close on Thursday, September 5.
