2026 National Weanling Sale Preview Online at nzbstandardbred.co.nz

The 45-lot catalogue for NZB Standardbred’s 2026 National Weanling Sale, set to be held on gavelhouse.com, is now live and available to preview on nzbstandardbred.co.nz.

With the popular boutique session to be held on leading digital platform gavelhouse.com, this Sale offers buyers from across Australasia the opportunity to source quality pinhook, racing and breeding stock on offer.

Further strengthened by several lots eligible for stakes incentives such as Next Gen Sires and Harness 5000, all weanlings purchased are also eligible to be entered for the lucrative Harness Million Series. The Series consists of principal two-year-old and three-year-old races for colts and geldings, fillies and trotters individually, where NZB Standardbred graduates can contest for their share in a $1m prize pool.

From a small offering, graduates of the National Weanling Sale have claimed six Group 1s and 34 individual stakes races in just five seasons. Headlined by Group 1-winning graduates such as Debbie Lincoln (NZ) (Lather Up), Ya Rite Darl (NZ) (What The Hill), Fugitive (NZ) (Downbytheseaside), Aardiebytheseaside (NZ) (Downbytheseaside) and Christopher Dance (NZ) (Sweet Lou).

The 2026 catalogue is made up of the progeny of champion sires Always B Miki, Art Major, Bettor’s Delight, Downbytheseaside, Sweet Lou and more, offered by renowned vendors spanning the length of the country.

“This catalogue features the usual high standard of quality expected at our weanling sale, just in smaller numbers,” commented NZB Standardbred Manager Cam Bray.

“It is known for producing a high percentage of winners from runners, and with the Harness Million eligibility it makes for an attractive source of racing stock.”

“Being online this year makes the Sale accessible and easy for everyone across the country and further afield to be a part of.”
