2020 Norwood Rural Sports Awards
Nominations are being called for the Norwood Rural Sports Awards, to be held in conjunction with the Rural Games in Palmerston North, March 2020.
There are six categories of awards, ranging from youth to seniors and the unsung contributors behind the scenes who deserve recognition for their hard work in their chosen sport.
Last year the Harness Racing industry was proud to have Sheree Tomlinson and Ricky May make the finals for their respective categories, and encourage industry members to nominate someone they think is deserving of consideration.
The categories include: Sir Brian Lochore Memorial Award for Outstanding Sportsperson from a Rural Background, Lifetime Legacy Award, Young New Zealand Rural Sportsperson of the Year, Outstanding Contribution to Rural Sports, New Zealand Rural Sportswoman of the Year, New Zealand Rural Sportsman of the Year.
