Blue September 2024
What is HRNZ Blue September?
The HRNZ Blue September campaign is a partnership with the harness racing industry and the Prostate Cancer Foundation in New Zealand.
The harness racing industry is proud to be associated with a good cause that raises money and awareness for prostate cancer. 12 male ambassadors throughout the country will wear blue pants for all race meetings during September and raise money with every win they get.
Every win the ambassadors have during the campaign will raise money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation in New Zealand. These donations are courtesy of HRNZ, some of the Clubs where the race is held, and the ambassadors individual sponsors.
All money raised will stay in New Zealand and be used to:
- Help fund research into better diagnosis and treatment
- Improve healthcare services for men with prostate cancer
- Provide support for men and their families living with prostate cancer
- Help with campaigning to raise awareness about prostate cancer and the importance of getting regular checks
