Southern trotter up six places

The in-form Smokin Bandar has been the big mover in this week's NZ Cup and Show Week rankings.

The Craig Ferguson-trained and driven trotter has gone from 15th to ninth in the latest rankings for the Renwick Farms Dominion Trot that will be held at Addington on Friday, November 11.

The striking grey six-year-old won at Addington last month and produced a fast finishing second to Muscle Mountain in the Canterbury Park Trotting Cup at Addington last Friday.

Sundees Son, Bolt For Brilliance and Muscle Mountain remain the top horses for the Group 1 on Show Day, though Sundees Son has galloped in his last two races.

The rankings for the IRT New Zealand Cup remain largely unchanged this week, with some of those outside the top 15 like Old Town Road heading to the Ashburton Flying Stakes this Monday.
