Southern Harness launch new website
After months of hard work and dedication from our board and staff at Southern Harness Racing, we are pleased to announce the launch of our updated website!
Our primary goal during the redesign process was to lift the profile of harness racing in the southern region and provide a platform to showcase our member clubs and their upcoming race meetings including not just racing but also sponsorship and hospitality options. We also wanted to create a more trainer and owner orientated site, to enable those involved and interested in the local industry to find all of the key information they need in one place. Specifically, we wanted to focus on making it easier for our users to locate valuable information about racing in the southern region, not only at their desk but also on their mobile devices.
We would like to acknowledge the design expertise of Invercargill based Leon Hastie (DKRE Design & Development), in collaboration with Nicole at Southern Harness and the HRNZ technical team. Official fields, race programmes and Infohorse enquiries can be accessed directly from our website.
Southern Harness would also like to acknowledge the extensive contribution of Bruce Stewart who helped develop and manage the previous website on our behalf. All news articles from that site have been brought through to the new site, with a valuable search function added for ease of use. Tips and trainers audio for the next race meeting is still a feature for those wanting a little inside information for raceday. Moving forward both Bruce Stewart and Jonny Turner will be regular contributors to the website along with Jonny also focusing on growing our Facebook presence.
We are seeking advertisers for the website and can tailor a package to meet your requirements. To find out more contact admin@southernharness.co.nz
