Muscle Mountain out of Monday's sprint at Ashburton
Multiple Group 1 winner Muscle Mountain has been scratched from the What The Hill Ashburton Trotters' Sprint on Monday.
The Greg and Nina Hope-trained trotter was vying for his fourth win in a row in the race.
But this morning a problem was detected in one of his legs and while it's believed a scan do not show any significant injury he was subsequently scratched from Monday's Group 3.
It was to be a key lead up race to the Renwick Farms Dominion Trot for Muscle Mountain, who resumed this campaign with a second behind rising star Bet N Win in the Group 3 Dancinginthedark M (USA) Canterbury Park Cup at Addington on October 11.
In Muscle Mountain's absence Bet N Win's now come into a $1.50 favourite with Oscar Bonavena at $3.90.
