Luxury mini getaway confirmed for Blue September Launch

A dreamy getaway to Queenstown is up for grabs at the Blue September launch dinner at Addington Raceway on Friday, September 1.

The dinner, in the Christian Cullen Lounge, will kick start the annual fund-raiser for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. It's the third year HRNZ has been involved in the campaign, raising around $50,000 to the cause last year.

The night will feature a number of raffles and prizes - there is something for everyone and the raffle will be run with winners being able to have the pick of the table.

A Punters' Club will also be held with every ticket going in the draw to win one night's accommodation at the luxurious Stonebridge Estate, 15 minutes outside Queenstown.

The prize also includes $500 worth of Air New Zealand airfares to help the winner get to the country's premier tourist destination. The package also features a platter on arrival and a breakfast for two thrown in as well.

This year there are 12 Blue September ambassadors, in their distinctive blue pants, who will raise money every time they win a race throughout the whole month. That money will come from HRNZ, individual clubs and many sponsors.

Tickets for the dinner are on sale now for $55 each, or $500 for a table of 10.
