Latest rankings ahead of Ordeal and New Brighton Cups at Addington
Last week's shock withdrawal of hot favourite Keayang Zahara has prompted the only change to this week's rankings for the Renwick Farms Dominion Trot and the New Zealand Trotting Cup.
The Victorian mare, the winner of 28 of 29 races, was a $1.30 favourite for the Dominion at Addington Raceway on Tuesday, November 10.
She has now been officially withdrawn following an injury to a hind leg.
Last year's winner Gus was the second elect for the Group 1 feature. He now finds himself a $2.60 favourite.
Keayang Zahara's withdrawal means that all the other top trotters in the rankings move up a place, including fellow Australian trotter, the David Miles-trained Rockinwithattitude who goes from fourth to third, behind 2025 Rowe Cup winner Mr Love.
This Friday night the ITM Ordeal Cup will be held at Addington with the winner automatically qualifying for the Dominion. Habibti Pat is the early favourite ($3.50) ahead of Mr Love ($5) and Mighty Logan ($5).
The Cup rankings are unchanged this week with defending champion Kingman, 2025 Auckland Cup winner Republican Party and Maurice Holmes Vase winner The Lazarus Effect rounding out the top three.
The Lazarus Effect will be back in action again this Friday in the Avon City Ford New Brighton Cup, with the winner sealing a spot in the Cup. He is a $1.30 favourite with Mo'unga next in the market at $6.50.
