Jason Teaz's tips for Cambridge tonight

Form analyst Jason Teaz casts his eye over tonight's meeting at Cambridge. First race is at 5.06pm.

Race 1

2 Harvey Specter
1 Rasana
5 Private Eye
7 Barbarossa

HARVEY SPECTER is overdue for a maiden win at start 24. He was gutsy in defeat when fourth May 6.
RASANA is a well bred three-year-old who is a full brother to Rishi. Trial form has been good with the latest being a win April 24. Qualified back in September running second but beating Blitzembye. Has the draw.
PRIVATE EYE has looked good at the trials, winning two of five. Won a workout May 8 in 2:46. Won't have to improve much to win this.
BARBAROSSA has been green in his races. Second behind Private Eye two weeks ago, then won a slow workout last Saturday. Another wide draw makes it difficult to win.
HIGH FLYING MAJOR has recently joined the Purdon/Phelan stable and needs respecting at this venue on that alone even though the trial form doesn't inspire.

Race 2

3 Faith In Manchester
6 Quik Barbie
8 Double Delight
1 American Muscle

FAITH IN MANCHESTER's only start at Cambridge was forgettable but has the ability. Needs to stay trotting to be tough to beat.
QUIK BARBIE won in her only start at Cambridge after leading end to end. Hasn't been trotting well lately which is of concern but on her home track is an each way chance.
DOUBLE DELIGHT was one of only two two year old trotters to trot all of the way May 7. Gets the outside draw on the preferential system tonight. Consider on the manners factor.
AMERICAN MUSCLE trotted all the way but was well beaten April 8. Has since been defeated narrowly back at Auckland twice. Does things right. A danger.
AHWEL but an average bunch of maidens two weeks ago but that was still a worthy win beating the older horses. Certainly a player.

Race 3

3 Highview Rockn Roll
2 Jasinova
1 The Last Gamble
5 Griffins Hall

HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL is racing well. After winning her maiden easily one error was followed by two tough fourths. A big chance.
JASINOVA albeit beaten fifteen lengths in the Northern Trotting Oaks last Friday it was after an early gallop but ran her last 800m in 58.5. Needs any stakemoney to get into the Jewels but the distance is the only concern.
THE LAST GAMBLE missed three weeks of racing and that told fitness wise May 6. From barrier one she is stepping well nowadays and may well lead them end to end.
GRIFFINS HALL keeps fending off the retirement paddock. Was unlucky May 6 when getting into an impossible position but dashed home into fifth. Has one more win in him.
ALANA is good enough to win but is hard to follow.

Race 4

3 Rocknroll Mama
6 Prodigal Pete
2 Jungle Gem
7 Silver Lady

ROCKNROLL MAMA is Harness Jewels bound. Two very good runs in the north. Smashed the clock last week at Auckland running home in 56.3 and 27.9. The fastest sectionals by a street. Top pick.
PRODIGAL PETE was run over late May 7. He's a bit of a sprinter and 2200m is at his limit but he's in good form.
JUNGLE GEM got a deserved win May 6. Has the element of toughness required to win a race like this.
SILVER LADY has come solid. Came from an impossible position to run second May 6. The best swooper.
MAURICE is better than a one win horse but holds himself back. A tricky customer who you can't leave out but he's unreliable.

Race 5

7 Run Mason Run
12 Hooray Henry
11 Jack Tar
3 The Sportsman

The return of RUN MASON RUN highlights a very strong mid class field tonight. Showed his readiness with a dashing workout win two weeks ago. Last time out was fourth in the Futurity.
HOORAY HENRY had no luck up the straight two weeks ago. He's started his career strongly and he should have won twice by now.
JACK TAR drops out of the feature pace tonight. Surprisingly didn't roll forward but still found the line hard to be only beaten a length. The back row draw means he's third pick.
THE SPORTSMAN had every show on the passing lane May 6 but from barrier three has the gate speed to be in the right spot.
SATCHMO probably didn't back up May 7 after a 55 last half the week before at Auckland. Goes his best races here and ran third in the feature pace April 15.
CLOUDY BAY should get a cushy trip on the pegs after making good ground wide late last time has to be considered.

Race 6

3 Miki Montana
7 Toodaloolou
6 Kaching Kaching
8 Power Of Soul

MIKI MONTANA has cost herself dearly lately with constant errors. Big on ability and the key could be the left handed way. The best horse in the race.
TOODALOOLOU tried hard in defeat May 6 after having to make her run three and four wide turning in. Her luck at the barriers continues tonight. Best of the older horses.
KACHING KACHING has good gate speed to offset the wide draw. Better than the form reads in all of the top two year races. Each way.
POWER OF SOUL has had six trials in Canterbury and finished midfield in many but the were behind names like Samhara, High Flying Harry, and Jimmy Paul. Gets the visitors draw first up but respect remains.
JODI has been purchased and heads to Australia. Won a workout for new trainer Matt White last Saturday in 2:48. Mildly unlucky last time off a bad draw and barrier one is a huge assist.
JE T"AIME ran second April 29 off the perfect run in the trail. Forget the Auckland run last time.

Race 7

7 Kango
3 Pull The Other Leg
5 J Bee
6 Spirit Of Anzac

KANGO returns to Cambridge tonight after being beaten in the Taylor mile, the Messenger. Second in the City of Auckland FFA at Group two five starts ago. A huge drop in class. Should win.
PULL THE OTHER LEG is desperate to pick up serious money for the jewels. Gets a better draw tonight. Is being driven with a sit where possible lately and sometimes it works and then it mostly doesn't. Still hard to beat.
J BEE was desperately unlucky May 6 after coming from last at the quarter. In good form and will push the favorites.
SPIRIT OF ANZAC was big when winning from parked two weeks ago. Outstayed them on that occasion so 2700m won't be a scare as he's won three over the distance.
EAGLE WATCH has reached full fitness. Won the 2700m stand April 29. Don't leave him out of first fours.

Race 8

7 Rain Mist And Muscle
9 Rydgemont Son
8 As Free As Air
10 She Reigns

RAIN MIST AND MUSCLE comes to Cambridge for the second time tonight. Galloped out in the Waikato Breeders stakes in February. Only win left handed came at Westport, however is harness jewels bound and is sure to be ready.
RYDGEMONT SON keeps finding a couple better at Cambridge. The 30m handicaps seem to be a bridge too far. On his best form either wins or runs second.
AS FREE AS AIR is in career best consistent form. Consider on an each way basis.
SHE REIGNS goes back to the 50m mark tonight. That's tough. Theoretically she can't win but she's so honest you couldn't put a line through her completely. She is looking for a hat trick at Cambridge.
FIRA and IVEGOTBILLS are the best chances off the front tape. The latter is a way better horse at Cambridge than Auckland.

Race 9

1 Bankers Gold
2 El Questro
3 Claudia Schiffer
11 Jaccka Cooper

BANKERS GOLD gets into this race well as an R51 and draws barrier one. Should settle in front or the trail. A huge hope.
EL QUESTRO was fourth first up May 6. That was off barrier twelve. Gets a good draw tonight and is a strong each way chance.
CLAUDIA SCHIFFER had no chance off a bad draw April 29. Fifth in a Nevele R series heat prior after breaking her maiden in dominant fashion. Will be close up.
JACCKA COOPER has a weakness in his gait so doing it tough is his forte. You can't fault his two efforts this campaign.
If Bankers Gold leads then POCKET BOOK becomes a place chance.
ROMANEE isn't firing but in this grade you can't drop him. He has won three from nine here at Cambridge.

Race 10

8 Thank You
2 Skyzrclearnsunny
4 Wynberg Watch
7 Keystone Cavalier

THANK YOU is off 30m tonight but as an R40 races maidens and most shouldn't scare him. Only missed beating Mufasa Metro by a nose. All things being equal should win this by ten.
SKYZRCLEARNSUNNY has been narrowly beaten in both runs this time in. Steps and leads again and if it wasn't for the race winner would be a prohibitive favorite herself.
WYNBERG WATCH never before stepped off the mark like he did April 8. He set up an open class type lead time and paid the price. Has been freshened as that one hurt. If ready should place.
KEYSTONE CAVALIER is the other race winner in the field. Making serious errors although this is a no pressure situation for him. As he has all the room in the world back on the 30m mark. Gets a great opportunity so hopefully he doesn't blow it.

Best Bet: Race 7 (7) Kango
Each Way Value: Race 3 (1) The Last Gamble
