Jason Teaz's Cambridge tips for tonight (Friday)

Form analyst Jason Teaz analyses the form for Cambridge tonight (Friday).

# denotes horse that Megan and Jason Teaz train.

Race 1

2 Maudarchy
11 Trixton Time
7 Highview Rockn Roll
8 Strength Of Heart

South Islanders should dominate this race. MAUDARCHY did a little bit of work first up in the North last Friday at Auckland and battled on nicely for third in stronger company. Has won over the distance and from the draw should dominate.
TRIXTON TIME got caught too far back last week in the same race. Prior fifth, up in company was good form for a race like this and like Maudarchy guns for a free win tonight. Likes the longer trips better too.
HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL never runs a bad race. Parked for the last 1300m of her race June 11. A big chance again.
STRENGTH OF HEART was first up for four months June 11 and wasn't disgraced. Won here back in November over the 2700m.
MY ROYAL ROXY was a dominant winner over the journey the last time she was here on April 29. Nothing wrong with her two runs at Auckland since. I See Fire made a mess of most in that field June 4. The bolter.
RANDOM JUDE has been freshened since racing on consecutive nights in May. An honest toiler who will settle handy and stick.
SAFRAKOVA is always hard to leave out of first fours. The second row draw is a blow to her chances though.

Race 2

2 Private Eye
10 Supersede
1 Triple Four
4 Father Quinn #

PRIVATE EYE did all the donkey work in both runs to date and was narrowly defeated both times. Gets the perfect draw tonight and won't have to lift any further to win.
SUPERSEDE was a brave third behind Dressed In Gold and Private Eye June 11 off a tough draw. Looks a grinding type so will be able to do the work required.
TRIPLE FOUR qualified solo at two, then had three runs last winter. Has come back flying. Won his last two workouts at Cambridge, the latest by ten lengths in reasonable time. From barrier one he can use his gate speed to lead or trail.
FATHER QUINN # comes north with respectable Southland form. Galloped when cruising at Auckland last week and back left handed tonight is the key. Has big gate speed.
THE ONLY DECISON again comes out of the Dressed In Gold maiden June 11. Barrier eight is a disaster but is a nice maiden.
MATAI LOUIS has a big reputation. The Honey Queen won his maiden debut race in February. Left handed is the key here.

Race 3

7 Eastanbull
6 Rough And Ready
9 Bodrum Boy
2 Hugo George

EASTANBULL bounced back from the twilight zone and was only denied a juniors race win June 4 by a nose. He turned his head at the winning post which cost him. Zev Meredith sticks with tonight and he will be hard to beat.
ROUGH AND READY picked up the free win May 28 in 2:38. Needs a war to get over the top like he did that night. Still racing well.
BODRUM BOY should be in a reasonable spot for a change tonight. He's been plagued with bad draws for ages. If he sits three back he can place.
HUGO GEORGE got a penalty free win in amateur company May 21. Just battled next time but from barrier two he will be in the finish.
BE MY ROSE pulled too hard over the 2700 here two weeks ago. Wants a more genuine speed to figure.
THE BLUE BEAT gets her fourth barrier one in a row courtesy of the preferential conditions. In the last two junior races she has gone around in, luck has fallen her way from this marble, so you can;t discount her.

Race 4

2 Wet Flipflops
5 Sheza Rose
9 Shanlou
4 Korloff Noir

WET FLIPFLOPS has had four seconds in her eleven start career. The last two seconds she has been beaten narrowly. Should lead again tonight and be too strong.
SHEZA ROSE is a toughie. Won't shirk the task ahead and her last two starts have been very respectable off draws that didn't suit. The each way value.
SHANLOU has only failed to place at Cambridge once in five starts. Barrier nine following out Brent Mangos is normally OK, but may well be three or four back tonight. Sure to be running on.
KORLOFF NOIR is on debut. Her trial form north and south has been good. Included is a second when qualifying to Once Bitten and shows good lick early. Follow.
For the brave is BABA YAGA, her sectionals were excellent even though he finished last on June 11. In prior trials she was hardly beaten.

Race 5

8 Presidential Jewel
11 She Reigns
9 Ivegotbills
2 Majestic Harry #

PRESIDENTIAL JEWEL was scratched last week with a minor hiccup. Racing back into her best form. Only two lengths from Credit Master June 4. Remarkably only starts 20m behind tonight which is really only 10m. Should win.
SHE REIGNS continues to be incredible off these long marks. Clocked a remarkable 3.3 seconds faster than the winner when running second June 11. 2700m tonight and is a clear second pick.
IVEGOTBILLS won his last two off the front in good fashion. Goes back to the 20m tape tonight but it's not prohibitive. A real tough customer at his peak form.
MAJESTIC HARRY # blew it June 11 when returning to the front mark. Galloped away and ended up too far back. Still rattled home his last mile as quick as the runners on the speed and if he behaves should sit handy. If he's no worse than three back he can place.
THE HULK and TAKE THE MONARCH were fourth and fifth respectively off good trips June 11. They add to the chances of the back end of first fours.

Race 6

3 Jack Tar
9 J Bee
4 Brookies Jaffa #
8 Eagle Watch

JACK TAR is overdue for his next win. There's gate speed inside him tonight but he's too consistent to not favour.
J BEE gets an interesting draw of the only horse on the second line. Racing with no luck at all and in many cases harder fields than this. If he gets racing room over the last 400m look out!
BROOKIES JAFFA # returned to winning form June 11 smashing moderate opposition in 2:41 leading throughout. May not lead here with the speed inside him but if he gets any luck he can double up. Trying for a free win tonight.
EAGLE WATCH drops back from the Uncut Gems race at Auckland last week. June 11, he led and walked then sprinted them. Barrier eight will force a change in tactics here but he's a five race winner at Cambridge.
SPIRIT OF ANZAC made an uncharacteristic error behind the tapes last week at Auckland. Still motored home in great time. Don't leave him out.
SWELL TIME is up from Southland. She's a free goer with insane gate speed but she doesn't finish it off when attacked. Looks the early leader here and trialed well Saturday home in 57 and 27 in the slush.
OPTICAL ILLUSION is only the baby in the field at eleven starts and only the two wins. Barrier one is a massive assist in this grade and should receive a good run for the most part.

Race 7

4 High Flying Major
1 Louie The Punter
8 Run Mason Run
9 Chris Kyle

HIGH FLYING MAJOR ran second to a four race winner June 11. He got held up on the pegs and had to make his run wide and early. This is a tough field tonight but he's done nothing wrong to date.
LOUIE THE PUNTER drops in grade tonight after chasing round horses like Zarias, Blitzembye and group one winner B D Joe. Drawn to do no extra. A must to run top three.
RUN MASON RUN bounced back to form when third June 11. Forget the first up run, it was over 2700m. Barrier eight hurts. A nice horse though who is tough.
CHRIS KYLE was driven upside down May 28 at Auckland. Speed duelled and was first beat. Prior form excellent and from three back on the pegs he can rush home.
ARMED REACTOR #  is on his last chance tonight, the fastest and best horse in this by many miles but is damaged goods nowadays. The unruly won't do him any good at all but if he did behave he's a chance. Did trial well Saturday against better opposition than this.

Race 8

3 Starry Star
5 Suidelike Major
9 Settle Petal
6 It's A Laugh

STARRY STAR was phenomenal June 11. Set up a ridiculous 39.2 lead time and somehow was still there fighting out the finish. Once in form she holds it. Should have no problem leading tonight.
SUIDELIKE MAJOR ran on OK although seven lengths behind Starry Star June 11. That was his first race in four months after average trials. Include.
SETTLE PETAL is the drop back horse tonight. Second to Cashlodo Flybye June 4.But has a tricky draw of nine. Sailesh Abernethy gets the best of anything he drives and can run over top.
IT'S A LAUGH has moved north to Andre Poutama. Finished in the pack in the Starry Star race two weeks ago. Has been around but this race drops away after the top couple.
ROMANEE was the other protagonist speed dueller June 11. Barrier eight means he well take a sit tonight and he if he's at his best this field won't scare him.

Race 9

5 Toodaloolou
9 Claudia Schiffer
11 Voodoo Prince
12 Weren't Watching

TOODALOOLOU returns to Cambridge tonight. Placed in 2:40 June 4 at Auckland after an easy maiden win here. Only beaten four lengths last week in a monumentally harder field. One of the bets of the night.
CLAUDIA SCHIFFER finished five lengths behind Toodaloolou June 4 at Auckland. That was from barrier eight. A clear second pick who will be climbing over them late.
VOODOO PRINCE drops out of a harder race two weeks ago. Finished on well for fifth from nowhere. When trying to improve, ran into a horse going backwards and that held him up badly. The value for a place.
WEREN'T WATCHING is fresh up since an unlucky close up seventh. Three workouts in the last month to have her ready.
MAHIA again gets a rough draw. Barrier eight two weeks ago and she found traffic problems. Barrier seven isn't flash again but if a battle ensues up front is one who can run home powerfully.
JACCKA COOPER came off second best after a mid race attack two weeks ago. He didn't show as much fight as usual. His gait is a nightmare but prior efforts mean he's not a forlorn chance.

Race 10

6 Jasinova
7 Soledad
9 Majestic Princess
10 Manchester's Eclipse

JASINOVA reverts from the 3YO Ruby Jewels day. Beaten 28 lengths but how many of her opposition could get within 50 lengths of Five Wise Men? Third in the Northern Oaks three starts ago which was eye catching and stiff here two starts ago. The obvious.
SOLEDAD broke her maiden last Friday at Auckland. One major concern is that she's had three workouts left handed and her best effort was a third in a 2:24 mile rate. Blew to bits badly in the other two. Risky but if she trots must be in the mix.
MAJESTIC PRINCESS won on debut but struggled thereafter in what were sharp rises in class. Another who hasn't coped in any of her public runs left handed. She is still very green but gets into this race very well like Soledad.
MANCHESTER'S ECLIPSE has been disappointing. However, beaten a neck into third behind Group One placed Mufasa Metro is amazing form in this. That was two starts ago. She just needs her A game to figure.
SKYZRCLEARNSUNNY is the only maiden who can be recommended here. She may have rolled over top for that elusive win two weeks ago if it wasn't for her trotting roughly and eventually breaking across the line. Will be the early leader but meets some progressive types tonight.

Best Bet: Race 9 (5) Toodaloolou
Each Way Value: Race 2 (4) Father Quinn
