HRNZ update - Breeding Incentive Scheme
HRNZ appreciates the excitement and enthusiasm that our second stage $3,000 Breeding Incentive Scheme (“BIS”) payment has generated in the Harness community.
There has been high demand for the BIS and we are currently processing the last of the first stage $1,000 claims. Once we have completed these we will move on to closing the $1,000 category and opening the $3,000 one. Many of you have asked us when this will be exactly. We have an Audit and Risk Committee meeting of the Board in mid-April and we expect that they will sign off on the implementation of the second stage of the BIS scheme at that point. We would then look to make an announcement welcoming applications and working with the industry to support breeders.
