HERO- Harness Education & Rehoming Opportunities
Harness Racing New Zealand is proud to announce our exciting new venture - Harness Education & Rehoming Opportunities (HERO) as part of our life after racing initiatives.
HERO was initially launched in Australia as a joint project of Harness Racing Victoria and the State Government via the Victorian Racing Industry fund and we are delighted to be joining this venture
HERO promotes life after racing options for retired Standardbreds. We will be working directly with industry participants to create positive pathways for Standardbreds exiting the racing environment.
We will be working alongside a number of professional equine educators to focus on upskilling and educating these horses to enable them to showcase the breed, facilitating the transition from racing into their forever homes.
