Harness Racing ready for its big night
Who will be Horse of the Year? The best of the best will be recognised at the Harness Racing New Zealand Awards in Christchurch tonight.
Upwards of 300 of the sport's highest achievers, including trainers, drivers, breeders, and owners, will be part of the night's festivities at Addington Raceway, with doors opening at 5.15pm.
It will be MC'd by well-known racing personality Greg O'Connor and Trackside presenter Nicole Sims.
The function, starting at 6pm, will feature more than 30 awards, among them some new ones including the Future Wealth Stablehand of the Year and the Gavelhouse Newcomer to Training.
The age group awards will be made in the early part of the evening, with the night culminating in the ultimate award, Horse of the Year.
We have extensive coverage on www.hrnz.co.nz with an update at 7.15pm on the first part of the night and then a wrap of the night's awards at 10.45pm.
There will be updates on HRNZ's social media channels (mainly Facebook and Instagram) with Harness Unhinged's Nigel Armstrong doing interviews for HRNZ and his own Facebook page.
