Harness Racing NZ are also excited to announce that Woodlands Stud have come on board to support the Championship by putting up a service to Pegasus Spur for the winner of the Championship.

Stacey White from Woodlands Stud said “Woodlands Stud is very proud to be supporting the Australasian Young Drivers Championships this season. Harness Racing is an industry we are passionate about and one we want to see grow. We put a lot back into this industry as it gives so much to us and this series is one we jumped at the opportunity to support.”

“Pegasus Spur is one of our tried and true stallions. He has a terrific record on the track and is often underrated as a sire. He’s the sire of the fastest horse in Australasia over a mile, with Maori Time going 1.51.5 and of course the sire of our own Speeding Spur.”

“We are at a time where we need to be encouraging the future generations to have a go at breeding in order to maintain our product and by giving a free service to one of the best young drivers in Australasia, we hope to introduce them to a different sector of the
industry that they can be a part of alongside their driving.”

Harness Racing NZ would like to once again thank our main sponsor Hanley Formula and also Woodlands Stud for putting up the winning prize.
