Countdown continues to Show Day Futurity
With five last-start winners in the field, the Graphite Developments Show Day Futurity First Prelude Mobile Pace will be run at Addington tomorrow night.
Set to go at 8.20, among the top picks are Robert and Jenna Dunn-trained stablemates I'm Your Huckleberry and Bach, along with the Robbie Holmes-trained and driven Mee Too, Theresa Love for the Robbie Close - Regan Todd combo, and the Brent and Tim White-trained Sirius. All five bring winning form into the race.
The Futurity series, a Show and Cup week regular, is open to 3YO and older pacers, who were either unqualified or assessed as Non-Winners on August 1 2022.
All horses must have started twice at a NZ Metropolitan Trotting Club meeting between August 1 and October 21 to be eligible for the final on Show Day, Friday November 11.
Field selection will be based on all totalisator races in New Zealand from August 1 - November 1 2022, with five points for 1st placing, three for 2nd, and one for 3rd.
Nominations for the Futurity closed earlier this month.
The Final is expected to be for a stake of around $30,000. It will be restricted to 14 runners
