Stratford Trotting Club - Thursday 27 February

Stratford Trotting Club has our first twilight meeting. Racing starts at 3pm.

Free entry with kids entertainment including the Dairy Master Train, bouncy castle, Kidz Kartz and rides in the Kidz Kartz.

Racing featuring the Quintin Oakes Builders Stratford Cup and the Brian Darth Funeral Directors North Island Grass Track Trotters Cup.

All trainers and owners are invited to a pre-race night BBQ on Wednesday 26th of February from 5.30pm onwards, where a bbq dinner will be provided with subsidised drinks and raffles.

Those needing accomodation, TAB facilities, we recommend contacting Ian and Jude at the New Commercial Hotel 06 765 6364, they also have a great public bar and restaurant on site.

Bring a picnic and set up on the lawn to enjoy a fun filled community event.


Taranaki Harness Racing Club - Saturday 29 February

Taranaki Harness holds its Centenary Meeting Saturday 29th February.

First race is at 12.15am, and there is no admission for this celebration event. Attendees are welcome to avail themselves of this La Mer Lounge facilities and amenities.

We have a special package for the day – finger food luncheon, two drink tickets, race book, and reserved seating in the Scottish Charm Lounge for just $35 per person.

Big screen on course will show all the action from Derby Day at Ellerslie.

PLENTY OF PRIZES FOR PATRONS AT ILT RACE DAY

The annual ILT Race Day hosted by the Invercargill Harness Racing Club takes place at Ascot Park Raceway in Invercargill this Sunday (1 March) and even losing tote tickets could put you in the running for a nice prize.

On-course patrons can drop their losing tote tickets with their name on the back into one of several barrels around the course and late in the day fifteen of those tickets will be drawn to win meal vouchers from ILT establishments to a combined value of $750.

Another person will also be drawn to go in the final draw on 26 April to win a trip to Mooloolaba during the day by just dropping the coupon from last week’s Southland Express into another prize barrel on course.

The feature races of the day will be the Northern Tavern Autumn Cup and the ILT Gold Chip Final, both races to be run over 2700 metres for a stake of $15,000.

Ten races are scheduled with the first at 12.25pm and the last at 5.27pm.

Admission to the course is free!

TEAL DAY IS COMING

Don’t forget to wear your teal colours and bring your teal cars (plus your teal themed boot parties) to the Northern Southland Trotting Club Yaldhurst Hotel, Team Teal Cup Day at Ascot Park Raceway in Invercargill on Saturday 7 March.

For a donation to the Teal Campaign the cars will be offered premium parking to form an impressive display at the course.

Banks Peninsula Trotting Club - Saturday 15 March

Come join us for our Team Teal Race Day, which is also the final day of the Team Teal campaign for 2020.

Alicia Harrison who is one of the Team Teal North Island Ambassador's will be coming along as our guest driver. There will also be a female drivers only race.

For the first time we will be hosting a Fashion in The Field contest for both men and women over 18 years of age, and the theme of course will be 'A Touch of Teal'.  There are excellent sponsored prizes up for grabs, that are worth dressing up for!
