Blue September fund-raiser at Cambridge
It's now just a week away from the last Blue September fund-raiser for 2022.
Next Thursday (September 29) as part of its Blue September race night, Cambridge will host a special dinner featuring former All Black captain Stu Wilson, with all proceeds going to the New Zealand Prostate Cancer Foundation.
Wilson is a Blue September ambassador who has been very active fund raising for the cause as well as urging New Zealand men to get annual check-ups.
Wilson, who was the All Black captain on eight occasions, made 85 appearances (34 tests) for the men in black, between 1976 and 1983.
He scored 50 tries overall, including hat-tricks against Scotland in 1981 and the British Isles in 1983.
The night will also feature entertainment, raffles and auctions. Every table of at least six diners will be given a $100 betting voucher with all proceeds from their bets going to Blue September.
