Big Sunday big boost to Team Teal

Just two weeks in, and thanks to a "Super Sunday", Team Teal's total for 2026 has soared to nearly $9000.
The annual campaign is all about creating awareness about ovarian cancer and raising funds towards research.
Money is raised every time a female driver (in her teal parents) wins a race in this country, thanks to contributions from HRNZ ($100 per win) and clubs.
Five Team Teal ambassadors also earn more funds for the cause every time they win, courtesy of their individual sponsors.
Yesterday the wins just kept coming, with 10 across the country's two meetings.
At Motukarara Riley Harrison had a double (Normie Stead and Bruntwood Brigade) while Sam Ottley (Downbythebeach), Mia Holbrough (Buffy Northstains) and Kimberly Butt (Petite Trixton) also reined home winners and in the deep south at Gore Kirstin Green (Mister and Tillaberi) and Sarah O'Reilly (Moses and Bettor Way) led the way with Kerry Tomlinson also saluting (Krackaling).
Team Teal ambassadors Crystal Hackett (5) and Kirstin Green (4) have the most wins so far in February with Butt and O'Reilly next on three.
Team Teal started on February 1 and so far the total sits at $8780.
